I wonder how many others like me have their grandchildren so far away. My son and his wife live in Kansas while I'm here in Baltimre. That means I don't get to see them very often. It also means they don't know their Grandmom Donna. If any of you have the same situation I'd like to hear how you handle it. Do you do anything to increase your contact besides calls? Hopefully when the girls get a little older I can e-mail them. But right now they're only 2 and 3 years old - a little young for e-mail don't you think. Speak up grandparents. What do you trhink?A

Hi. I have grandchildren, but they're all scattered out. My sons had them by different women they had relationships with, and some of them don't know me. Not that my sons just go out and produce babies. lol. (thought I'd clear that up). But sometimes, things don't work out. But the ones I'm involved with I don't get to see that often. Kids
!
lol.

I have two grandsons, the oldest of which used to live ten minutes away from me and I used to see him fairly regularly. I have moved about 30 miles away recently and I don't see him nearly as much as I would like, also don't see my daughter that much though we still talk on the phone. My son and his wife and grandson live in South Dakota and I have never met this grandchild and other than the occasional present I send have no meaningful contact so can relate to the original post.
